BLtouch arrives, and now... Nothing. What a pity.
At first i just updated the motherboard with marlin with the newest (2.0.7) and it seemed to work, but when i started printing, i didn't get the result i wanted. After a bit i tried updating both the screen and the motherboard with the firmware that bigtreetech provides, and it worked pretty good. Heres to link to their github: https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIQU-B1 At first i wanted to try UBL (unified bed levling) which combines a lot of nifty features, but i'm not experienced enough so i didn't get it to work right. Now i use bilinear, which i think is the default when you update the firmware. Its important that you spend some time tuning the z-offset, I think that is something that makes or breaks the quality of the print.

Only one axis mid-print. After updating firmware, my printer only goes along the Y axis (side to side) after a few layers. Any thoughts? I’ve tried a few models and am getting the same results.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one; I thought I was crazy. Where did you get yours? Not sure why though... mine is from the official GitHub at https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIQU-B1/tree/master/Firmware/2020-08-18. Otherwise, the printer’s been great.
I went to https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIQU-B1/tree/master/Firmware and reverted back to the 2020-06-15 firmware. That fixed the frozen axis issue I had with 2020-08-18 firmware. Here’s the improvement. If this helps you out, please like that post✌️. Some other non-3D printing folks on Imgur weren’t so kind for some reason 🙄 they just don’t understand our struggles lol. Happy printing all!
