Album Release Date - how do you handle this?
I don't have a script unfortunately. I do have an Applescript that looks up Discogs for individual years of tracks (to fix Picard'ed retrospective compilations), but that's only useful if you use macOS+Music.

Musicbrainz genre and composer plugin
I also wrote an Applescript for this problem that may be useful to you (if you're on macOS+AppleMusic): https://github.com/certuna/Applescripts-for-Music - it tries to pull the genre(s) and year from the single on Discogs rather than the album.

is there any way to add language tag automatically to music ?
For those on macOS + Apple Music, I have written an Applescript that can tag language in bulk (say, select 100 tracks in Music, set the Language tag to Spanish for all): https://github.com/certuna/Applescripts-for-Music/
- Program/script to replace default genre tags with more exact ones?

Software to tag music from online DB
Also, if you are on macOS, I published an Applescript (to be used with Apple's Music app) last year that pulls Genre and Year for individual tracks from Discogs (which has much better Genre tags than last.fm or Musicbrainz IMO), you might find it useful.

How can I add an explicit E next to songs from local files?
An alternative is to simply append an đź…´ character to the Title, you can do that manually or with the Applescript I wrote a while back: https://github.com/certuna/Applescripts-for-Music/

Beets: De-compile a compilation?
Now how to do this automated, that’s harder. I’ve written an Applescript that for each song does a Discogs lookup for the original release (single/alvum) and writes the original year to the tags, and optionally the “Artist - Release” title to the Comments field, you could use that and possibly modify it to change the album title too. The script is macOS only though: https://github.com/certuna/Applescripts-for-Music

Has anyone found a way to search by a producer?
It is possible to write a script that takes the Artist and Song Title, performs a Discogs query for it, retrieves the Producer, and writes that into the comments field. I haven't found one yet, have been toying with the idea to retool my current Discogs applescript to do this.

I wish Apple would have more sub-genre options
You can genre tag stuff yourself, if you're on macOS I've written an Applescript that automatically pulls Genres from Discogs: https://github.com/certuna/Applescripts-for-Music
