OutRun – Open-source, privacy oriented, outdoor fitness tracker
Open source for open source desktops like Linux (unfortunately not for open source Android currently), there's Alex Harsányi's ActivityLog2, which is an impressive application in Racket:
https://github.com/alex-hhh/ActivityLog2/wiki/Just-The-Scree...
Incidentally, I'd love to have an open source, privacy-respecting nutrition tracker that works on open source desktops. (I find my laptop much, much faster than phone for recording this data, at least in the ad hoc way I'm doing it, including things like weights of every ingredient that goes into a sandwich or dish.)

Is there a self-hosted compatible fitness tracker (like a fitbit)?
I use and like Activity Log 2 - https://github.com/alex-hhh/ActivityLog2. You can import most common file formats like TCX, GPX and FIT.

Racket v8.0
I was/am in the same boat. A few months back someone recommended this blog to me: https://alex-hhh.github.io/
If you want to see some "real world" high quality Racket GUI stuff this is the place to go. Very inspiring. I'd love to do more with Racket & its GUI lib.
