Is there any way to configure the background z_wr_iss processes to run at more opportune times?

  • My understanding is that these tasks were set to -19 niceness because other filesystems also run at -19 and we'd lose out against them otherwise (see 1229323d5f). Unfortunately this does mean that userland stutters terribly when there's lots of I/O, but who cares about that so long as the bulk throughput benchmarks look better?
