  • docker-minecraft-server

Docker image that provides a Minecraft Server that will automatically download selected version at startup

While it may not be the most perfect or elegant solution. Perhaps try running it inside a docker container, on your ubuntu virtual machine? It'd me a sure fire way to make sure that thing like outdate java versions and the like dont effect the server. If it works then it'll give you a much better idea as to what could be causing the issue too. You can find an image here if its just for testing instead of manually mapping the ports like -p 25565:25565 just run --net=host itll handle all of that for you.

  • distrobox

Use any linux distribution inside your terminal. Enable both backward and forward compatibility with software and freedom to use whatever distribution you’re more comfortable with. Mirror available at: https://gitlab.com/89luca89/distrobox

To hitch off to of the other guys suggestion of containers. Distrobox is a great and easy solution.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
