I recommend you convert these videos to .mp4 files using Handbrake. Use the preset in the top menu bar which is most similar to your video. Make sure the file name at the bottom of the window says .mp4 on the end.
If you can use the command line, then you could use FFMpeg, which is the program a lot of other programs use as the base code. A command to losslessly convert would be something like:
