  • RTK's early development was just plain JS. We converted it to TS in https://github.com/reduxjs/redux-toolkit/releases/tag/v0.4.0 . That was long before my co-maintainer Lenz joined the team, and I didn't even use TS myself at all yet. The TS conversion was contributed by other folks. So, I certainly wasn't thinking about TS type safety for that particular feature when I added it in 0.4.1.
