Tracking the evolution of my Pokémon TCG decks and the players I come up against :baby_chick:
The other day I stumbled across upptime.js which is an uptime monitor and status page that's built entirely on GitHub Actions, Issues, and Pages. After looking through the project I thought that's pretty cool that you can do this all with just GitHub. I was wondering if there are other examples of projects like this that use these GitHub tools in ways other than the traditional Devops/CI/CD type stuff you usually see.
I track my Magic The Gathering: Arena card game decks in a repo: https://github.com/leereilly/magic-tcg-decks.
Similarly, for my Pokemon TCG decks: https://github.com/leereilly/pokemon-tcg-decks
I keep track of my MAME arcade cabinet high scores in a repo: https://github.com/leereilly/mame-high-scores
I think this repo/game might be more what you're looking for: https://github.com/a-little-org-called-mario/a-little-game-called-mario. There's a writeup @ https://github.blog/2022-07-06-managing-a-game-dev-community/ explaining how they use Actions to e.g. update the in-game credits.
Not super out-of-the-ordinary, but I host my personal blog on GitHub Pages, is built with Actions, and use Issues (via Utterances) for the post comment system.
