Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • scratch-www

    Standalone web client for Scratch

If lisp (or one of) is the "best" choice then what book should the class go through? I think SICP is too long and high level for the class. Is HtDP suitable for a short class, maybe not even finishing much of the book? Realm of Racket or Racket Programming the Fun Way? Would Bootstrap world be a better choice than a book? Or maybe choose specific Scratch or Code.org tutorials/classes? Or a particular teaching language(s) in the Racket ecosystem?

  • clog

CLOG - The Common Lisp Omnificent GUI

I used http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/LispBook/ (free pdf there) and my own notes for the one with more experience - https://github.com/rabbibotton/clog/blob/main/LEARN.md

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • turtle-geometry

Turtle graphics for Common Lisp. (by hahahahaman)

You might also consider Logo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language) Or, you could also introduce turtle graphics inside some versions of lisp. I can't personally vouch of this one, but it is supposed to work with SBCL: https://github.com/hahahahaman/turtle-geometry
