dolphin
Dolphin is a GameCube / Wii emulator, allowing you to play games for these two platforms on PC with improvements.
The main gaming thing that I’ve found works well is emulation. There’s an emulation front end app called OpenEmu (https://openemu.org) which has support for everything from Atari 2600 to PS1. Dolphin (https://dolphin-emu.org) is also phenomenal for Wii/GameCube games, and there’s an experimental port of Cemu for macOS (https://github.com/cemu-project/Cemu/releases/tag/v2.0-10) that runs Wii U games incredibly well considering that it’s hardly been out for a month.
