Scan documents to PDF and more, as simply as possible.

  • If you need a GUI, I've used NAPS2 extensively, and it can easily pull this off. It's designed to be a scanning application, but you can just as easily drop in a PDF, and it'll render out the pages for you. Any PDF you save from it will have images and (optionally) an OCR layer, to keep it searchable. It also has command line utilities that can be useful for automating big batches.

  • ImageMagick

    🧙‍♂️ ImageMagick 7

  • As its name implies, ImageMagick is an image processing tool, and it has support for PDF. All you'd have to do is point it to your PDF file, tell it render out images of each page, then combine all those images back into a PDF.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
