I think it would be great if we didn't have both https://github.com/ikey4u/nvim-previewer/tree/master/nvim-rs and https://github.com/ikey4u/nvim-previewer/tree/master/nvim-rs be called nvim-rs (even if yours isn't published on crates.io)
2) Not sure, did you see the examples and the docs on them (note there's a submodule with documentation for some of them)? Can you be a bit more specific on what's missing? It is true however that I left integrating the plugin into neovim to a reference to the original scorched earth. I think you're right that I should integrate that into the examples documentation, thanks for pointing that out!
Not to discourage you, you are probably smarter than me, but one thing that was particularly hard to do was to solve the problem I described in this neovim-lib issue, which actually triggered the fork to solve it via async/await. It still took some time to do it right, because the communication with neovim can be somewhat complex and is somewhat underspecified.

For your problem, there is a new nvim plugin framework nvim-oxi which seems promising, you may have a try.
