  • neutralinojs

Portable and lightweight cross-platform desktop application development framework

  • tauri

Build smaller, faster, and more secure desktop applications with a web frontend.

  • I also would like an even lighter framework, but this is much better than Electron so we should give it that at least. In practice, using the WebView is not nearly as much problem IMHO as it used to be. The engine is normally updated with the OS so it is fairly up-to-date. Have you had problems using the WebView? Several new frameworks are trying that, like Rust's Tauri and Go's Wails... I myself find Flutter, as other commenter mentioned, a very good framework as well, but if you want to use the wealth of the JS environment, this seems like a pretty decent choice.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
