  • xdg-desktop-portal

    Desktop integration portal

  • Yay! I’m excited this is coming. It was often a pain point raised by sandboxed apps for elementary AppCenter; since apps couldn't modify system settings (rightfully!), they also couldn't add themselves to the system-wide keyboard shortcuts. I raised the issue on behalf of AppCenter app developers last year and it has been great to see the cross-desktop and community collaboration to spec it out and implement it.

  • electron-discord-webapp

A Discord and SpaceBar :electron:-based client implemented without Discord API.

  • In all honesty, WebCord is basically the closest an alternate client can get to being official; the maintainer specifically states that they don't want to inject any scripts into the page, precisely so that the client is as ToS abiding as possible. It's effectively just a browser, so I don't really know how Discord could block it/ban users for using it (or why they would even bother). I guess anything's possible, though.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • xdg-desktop-portal-wlr

    xdg-desktop-portal backend for wlroots

  • I've created an issue to track the wlroots implementation of this here if anyone was interested in that.
