I got banned from r/startrek for calling Kate Mulgrew too fat to return to Star Trek. I mean, sure, it's not a nice comment. But it's not unreasonable either. Just saying that it can also happen here on Reddit. Best would be to host your own forum community with https://www.discourse.org/. And then use the RSS feed of the posts to distribute it to Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Then you never lose your community and have better/healthy moderation controls.
