That comment is not about the amount of memory, but rather memory throughput (bandwidth, a function of memory frequency and latency). This only matters if you want to use looking glass rather than give one or more monitors to the VM (by connecting it to the dGPU as well as the integrated graphics and switching inputs with ddcutil). You might be okay running one monitor off looking glass, but ideally you just hand directly to the guest. You can use something like autohotkey + ssh commands to setup seamless input switching and sync the clipboard between the guest and host if you give them their own native monitors. Or a paid solution like synergy

I've been using Barrier to share MKB with my steam deck...not sure if that will suffice for gaming but I think i'd try that before trying to deal with clipboard/mkb handoff myself.
