State of the Haskell ecosystem lists the areas for which Haskell is a really good fit (and those for which it isn't!). According to that page, Haskell is the ideal language for writing compilers, and indeed many programming languages (e.g. Elm, Idris, Agda, Perl6) were first implemented in Haskell.

That being said, Haskell is a general-purpose language, and I use it for everything from command-line tools to games, even though the State of the Haskell ecosystem says Haskell is not a good fit for games. So I wouldn't worry about finding a project which is a great fit for Haskell; pick a small project you are motivated about, and try to learn just enough Haskell to implement it!

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
