If you just want an "alarm clock bulb" that will change color temperature over a set period of time, this is a hub-less option based on any compatible RGB smartbulb flashed with the opensource Tasmota firmware.
I don't have a huge amount of experience with OTA flashable bulbs, as I've mostly stuck to Zwave devices and switches over bulbs, but I did recently get a few Switchbot bulbs that were flashable OTA. I specifically got them because they were ESP32 vs ESP8266 based, were OTA flashable, and were on sale at the time (under $4/ea, vs the $15+ that they normally go for). There's some good flashing info here and here. The flashing process is a little involved (basically DNS spoofing and injecting the Tasmota firmware in a MITM attack) but doable, and still works as far as I know.
