Authenticator app question. This might be a daft question but If I need to restore my phone/get a new phone and I need to sign into Google, how can I do this if I don't have access to the Authenticator app yet? Thanks

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Aegis

A free, secure and open source app for Android to manage your 2-step verification tokens.

  • I personally recommend Aegis Authenticator instead. It works the same way as Google Authenticator, but allows manual and automatic encrypted backups -- meaning that you can restore to a new device without issue. (Or the same device after wiping it.)

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
