Why doesn’t PrusaSlicer bundle and use ArcWelder by default?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/prusa3d

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • PrusaSlicer

G-code generator for 3D printers (RepRap, Makerbot, Ultimaker etc.)

The slicer has a PR for that https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/4352 and I guess it may eventually get in.

  • Prusa-Firmware

Firmware for Original Prusa i3 3D printer by PrusaResearch

Until May, the Prusa firmware did not support arc correctly - a pull request for that has been merged in then: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/pull/2657 , so that's a good sign.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • ArcWelderLib

A collection of projects used to convert G0/G1 commands to G2/G3 commands.
