The way it works, you're (almost) always selecting text. And you use the selection not just for editing, but for navigation too. Press the key for selecting a line, and you'll be at the end of the line. But then you can press the key to reverse direction, and suddenly you're at the beginning of the line instead. It gets a lot done with a few keys.
