Nvm/volta/asdf(or other), what happens if we install node separately through apt/dnf/pacman/etc?

  • mason.nvim

Portable package manager for Neovim that runs everywhere Neovim runs. Easily install and manage LSP servers, DAP servers, linters, and formatters.

Are they going to conflict in unexpected ways? My specific issue is when using Neovim Mason it requires me to have node and npm installed NOT through nvm/volta/etc. Meaning that when I do sudo dnf install nodejs, Mason is able to find both node and npm. But this also means that I'm installing node in possibly conflicting ways, or at least not in any recommended way. So, would this crate any unexpected issues down the road?
