Personally, I'd be fine if they do allow the community to maintain the AUR version but I'm not sure if in the long term it'll work well as Bottles is more and more developed with Flatpak in mind. I don't know what'll happen to the AppImage version they're working on too, but I hope it'll succeed because that could be the main reference for AUR and distro versions.
