I just merged a PR which adds proper support for dressing.nvim! This means the new name is mirrored in dressing's vim.ui.input window while you type the command in the command line. The previous support was incomplete and had some inherent issues due to the way it was implemented.

You may ask: why does this only work in command line mode? Well, the answer is that the plugin heavily depends on Nvim 0.8's command preview feature which currently only works in command line mode. Maybe this may change in the future though... (https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/19856)
