What source code is this, then, if it's not the source code of a client side app for the Signal protocol? https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Android
This applies to the client-side apps only. There is no way to verify that the Signal Server they have running is also the one they publish the source code of because you can't verify what binaries they have on their servers. However you don't need to trust the servers, because the Signal protocol requires zero trust from the server. This is one of the key reasons why the protocol was designed that way: Because users can't verify what the servers are running.
