HOW-TO: Stable Diffusion on an AMD GPU

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/StableDiffusion

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • ROCm

Discontinued AMD ROCmâ„¢ Software - GitHub Home [Moved to: https://github.com/ROCm/ROCm]

  • I don't think the 5700XT ever got official ROCm support. Having said that, it seems there are at least some people who have been able to get the latest ROCm 5.2.3 working on such a GPU (perhaps with patches?), you may want to review that github thread for more information on your card. You could also try the latest docker image that uses pytorch 1.12.1 with ROCm 5.2.3 with my instructions and let us know if it works on your card.

  • stable-diffusion

Optimized Stable Diffusion modified to run on lower GPU VRAM (by basujindal)

  • After the video's instructions, I copied in the optimizedSD folder from this repo into my stable-diffusion folder, opened optimizedSD/v1-inference.yaml and deleted the 5 optimizedSD. prefixes.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
