Not sure, never had that happen to me. Was it the new native/flatpak version or the old way through WINE? The only issue I had with the new version was that their included WINE had some known control input issues, but it can be pointed to a different version in the options and works fine (ie GE WINE). Maybe try changing that and see if it fixes that too?
If through Lutris, I assume that'd be the Windows version. They provide a nicer native version via flatpak now.
