...and, otherwise, maybe use PyO3 with PyQt or PySide to set up a Python-on-Rust QWidget-based analogue to how Qt Quick encourages you to write your frontend in their "QML" ECMAScript dialect and your backend in C++.
I've looked at a good portion of them over at https://areweguiyet.com in the hopes of making some kind of GUI project in Rust that would have a decent look and feel. Well, I've found that none of them sell themselves well on looks unless they are based on some kind of web technology. I mean seriously, have you looked at Druid's Readme? It's horrible. Most of them don't even dare mentioning animations and easing, something I find to be very important for UX.
