  • Amethyst

Automatic tiling window manager for macOS à la xmonad.

  • If you are a power user, consider giving Amethyst a shot. It’s a tiling window manager, much more capable than Rectangle, and it doesn’t require you to disable SIP unlike yabai does.

  • HomeBrew

🍺 The missing package manager for macOS (or Linux)

  • Kinda surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but HomeBrew is a must-have if you do any kind of work in the terminal. It'll let you easily install any linux/unix package (e.g. brew install wget) or even Mac binary apps (casks) without having to go to each web site to download them (e.g. brew install --cask firefox) and fonts (e.g. brew install --cask font-meslo-lg-nerd-font).

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
