2) The icons of NerdFont are small and I'm finding it really annoying (I have opened a ticket https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/issues/876) << there are screenshots of both what I have on Mac vs Ubuntu.
Kitty is the best terminal in my opinion ( I will try WezTerm :) ). Their Kittens make everything amazing. Try to press CTRL+Shift+u and you get access to Unicode and Emoji. Many more features I can't explain here because https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/ does it way better.
I have my eyes on this though.

I prefer using neovim in a ui most of the time. Neovim-Qt served me quite well. For ligatures you have to use the latest release but it is easy to compile and install.
