Someone posted on a different thread a while back that if the chunk size is different, the CID will be different. They said the nft.storage specifically uses a different chunk size than what is the default, probably because the data they handle typically is of a larger file size so it is safe to divide it up into larger chunks without worrying too much about storage lost to padding.
