Fortunately, there seems to be some open source effort to be able to run roombas locally. I haven't tried it out myself yet but I intend to. If it works I hope to appify this a bit.
Though it looks like Piper is the way to go for my Logitech G502. I will test it out later. Thanks for the link.
First, SteamOS is not Arch Linux, it is a fork of Arch with significant differences, an immutable file system, for one thing. If you say "Arch Linux" when asking for help with your Steam Deck, some of the answers you get are going to be invalid. It's going to come out that you actually mean SteamOS, and then the guy who's been giving his spare time to try to help you is going to smack his forehead and then ask why you didn't say so in the first place. In this case, I can imagine that SteamOS might have some weird mouse button configurations given its unusual built-in controllers. At this point I would direct you toward Valve's tech support. You tell me you're running Arch, I assume you installed this on a normal PC.
