  • NeoOrg (or this one)

  • orgmode

Orgmode clone written in Lua for Neovim 0.9+.

  • NeoOrg (or this one)

  • neogit

An interactive and powerful Git interface for Neovim, inspired by Magit

  • NeoGit

  • kakoune.el

A very simple simulation of the kakoune editor inside of emacs.

  • If emacs had a layer for kakoune as comprehensive as evil, I think it would be a no-brainer, but such as it is, kakoune.el is the closest we have which isn't quite was I was hoping for.

  • meow

Yet another modal editing on Emacs / 猫态编辑 (by meow-edit)

  • Have you seen meow modal mode? https://github.com/meow-edit/meow

  • RustPython

A Python Interpreter written in Rust

  • Honestly, my fantasy IDE would be something very much like emacs, but ported from the ground up in rust and streamlined a bit to avoid some of the bloat, and using RustPython for scripting the layers, including a badass kakoune/helix emulator.

  • emacs-ng

A new approach to Emacs - Including TypeScript, Threading, Async I/O, and WebRender.

  • I know some projects along these lines are being attempted but they look to be years away from appreciable maturity, if ever.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • remacs

    Rust  Emacs

  • Yeah most likely they won't mature at all. Many of the emacs-ng folks were doing an incremental Rust rewrite called Remacs before abandoning that. It's great to see these people having fun, but I wouldn't bet on them to be around in the long term.
