For general practices (not technology-specific), I find DevOps framework / assessment document are quite practical. For example: https://github.com/adidas/adidas-devops-maturity-framework/blob/master/framework/devops_maturity_framework.md. IMO, the good thing is that these framework state practice at different matuality level (crawl > walk > run) (instead of just pointing out *unrealistic best* practice like documents out there)

But I think once you have a good understanding of K8S internal (components, how thing work underlying, etc.), you can use some tool to help you provision / maintain k8s cluster easier (look for https://rancher.com/ and alternatives).
