Coming back to neovim after a year of not using vim/nvim as my primary editor, looking for some start setup guide(s).

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/neovim

  • awesome-neovim

    Collections of awesome neovim plugins.

  • This gave me some inspiration. https://github.com/rockerBOO/awesome-neovim

  • LunarVim

🌙 LunarVim is an IDE layer for Neovim. Completely free and community driven.

  • If you want to have a preconfigured neovim setup (like a neovim distribution) you can pick up one of theme here. Some friends of me recommend lunarvim.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • NvChad

Blazing fast Neovim config providing solid defaults and a beautiful UI, enhancing your neovim experience.

  • Had almost the same path, I'm so glad to have found NVChad, really good start to have your own killer neovim.

  • Launch.nvim

🚀 Launch.nvim is modular starter for Neovim.

  • Christian Chiarulli (who created LunarVim) also has nvim-basic-ide, a more stripped down starting point that is easy to take pieces from one at a time and modify. I am using mason instead of lsp-installer, changed cmp config to not automatically complete if nothing selected on , and a few other changes. And I just add one thing at a time and experiment with it, when I need a break from other coding tasks.

  • kickstart.nvim

A launch point for your personal nvim configuration

  • Have a look at https://github.com/nvim-lua/kickstart.nvim

  • NeoVim_Essentials

Just the basics to get started on the mystical Vim journey.
