are you getting the latest contract within solidity or from the front end? If you are querying your smart contract from the front end you will have a race condition. As others said you can prevent this either by making it Ownable (https://github.com/OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-contracts/blob/master/contracts/access/Ownable.sol), or maybe adding a mapping that saves which address created which contracts (this will cost more gas, however, because you are creating additional storage costs).
