I use http://nextdns.io - for $20 a year, you can have them host your DNS. It blocks all the ads, they keep it up to date and, what's more, you can set per-device settings. So my kids get a certain profile, which blocks tiktok and some other stuff after 2130 every day (so they actually sleep).
