If you'd like to try Miryoku on your EZ, it's available in Oryx, but without recently added features and without the alternative layout options: https://github.com/manna-harbour/miryoku/tree/master/data/oryx. I'd recommend Miryoku QMK instead: https://github.com/manna-harbour/miryoku_qmk/tree/miryoku/users/manna-harbour_miryoku#ergodox. And in particular, the SHIFTED_ROWS_EXTENDED_THUMBS_PINKIE_STAGGER mapping fixes the issue with the Ergodox thumb keys, and will also help with reaching on the pinkies.
You could try to map your DH layout onto the ergodox directly, e.g. keeping the columns as-is and using combos for the missing horizontal switches. But I think that'd be too much of a compromise, and you'd be better off with a layout designed for individual keys. If the goal is to minimise stress on the hands, so no contortions, no hand movement, and minimum effort, the best setup I've managed so far is Miryoku on a choctyl with 25g switches.
