  • SVT-AV1

I just learned about AV1, and I decided that it would be better than h265 for my needs. I read this guide https://gitlab.com/AOMediaCodec/SVT-AV1/-/blob/master/Docs/Ffmpeg.md to get a basic understanding. My goal is to save space on my stored 4k H264 content, without noticeable quality loss. I'm using preset 5, but What CRF should I use for 4k Content, that is a good balance of visuals and efficiency for reasonable encode times, the above guide recommended 32 for 1080p is that good for 4k also?

  • FFMetrics

Visualizes Video Quality Metrics (PSNR, SSIM & VMAF) calculated by ffmpeg.exe

I recommend you do some tests I'd your own with FFMetrics.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • ab-av1

    AV1 re-encoding using ffmpeg, svt-av1 & vmaf.

I just let ab-av1 automatically find a CRF that hits a VMAF target on a few samples.
