If you want to run DirectX 12 you can use https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton to run DirectX 12 on Vulkan (fast but your GPU needs to support Vulkan) or https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/samples/microsoft/directx-graphics-samples/d3d12-12-on-7-sample-win32/ to run DirectX 12 on DirectX 11 (laggy and buggy, use only if your GPU doesn't support Vulkan).
