  • Home Manager using Nix

Manage a user environment using Nix [[email protected]]

"The Nix way" would be to use Home Manager, but it's possible to only use nix-env or nix profile to install packages.

  • nixGL

A wrapper tool for nix OpenGL application

Another comment mentioned nixGL. That's needed for GPU acceleration, or apps like Kitty won't work.

  • SonarQube

Static code analysis for 29 languages.. Your projects are multi-language. So is SonarQube analysis. Find Bugs, Vulnerabilities, Security Hotspots, and Code Smells so you can release quality code every time. Get started analyzing your projects today for free.

  • distrobox

Use any linux distribution inside your terminal. Enable both backward and forward compatibility with software and freedom to use whatever distribution you’re more comfortable with. Mirror available at: https://gitlab.com/89luca89/distrobox

You might want to look at Distrobox (Docker/Podman), it's basically a set of helper scripts that make containers more transparent to the use. It also has an option to export an application from the container and make it available to use from the base OS.
