If you want to get reading quickly, you're going to have to accept the fact that you'll be looking up a lot of words.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese

Our great sponsors
  • Zigi - Delete the most useless function ever: context switching.
  • SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages.
  • InfluxDB - Build time-series-based applications quickly and at scale.
  • Scout APM - Truly a developer’s best friend
  • mokuro

Read Japanese manga inside browser with selectable text.

For anyone reading digitally, Yomichan definitely really helps cut down on how disruptive looking things up is, since you can just hover and immediately get the definition. I combine that with pasting the text into ichi.moe. (Depending on formatting, you may need to extract the text first using e.g. mokuro or Google Keep or something similar, in order to do this)

  • tachiyomiOCR

Tachiyomi fork which adds OCR and dictionary lookup capabilities for the purpose of language learning.

I looked up some alternatives, and this might work. Worth a try

  • Zigi

Delete the most useless function ever: context switching.. Zigi monitors Jira and GitHub updates, pings you when PRs need approval and lets you take fast actions - all directly from Slack! Plus it reduces cycle time by up to 75%.
