Media Player Classic.
mpv.net - A great open-source lightweight video player based on mpv with support for many formats and extensive configuration. Replaces MPC, VLC, PotPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc. Strongly recommend replacing your current video player with this, since programs like VLC are bloated and can have issues playing back videos and exhibit weird artifacts.

qBittorrent - Open-source alternative to clients such as uTorrent and BitTorrent, the former of which is bloated with ads.
ShareX - Free and open-source screenshot and GIF program. Use this instead of something like Snipping Tool or Lightshot - lightshot is a privacy nightmare, since every screenshot you upload can be found by others since it uses a very short string of letters and numbers, and there is no way to manually delete a screenshot you’ve uploaded.
Bitwarden - Open-source password manager. Has a free tier for personal use which is enough for most people. Allows you to self-host your vault as well, if you like self-hosting everything. Recommended to use this over something like LastPass, even if Bitwarden’s interface is slightly clunkier.
