it is important because it randomizes fingerprints, which uBlock Origin cannot. You can verify this by going to FingerprintJS. Try switching to private mode, changing the container, deleting cookies, changing the IP, changing the user-agent, but the site will still be able to identify you. with this extension, user fingerprinting for websites is much more complicated

Don't forget to enable privacy.resistFingerprinting in about:config. If you are hardcore enough, use Arkenfox's user.js for enhanced privacy. If you are doing the latter, you can remove CanvasBlocker. Extensions are a source of fingerprint anyway, better keep them at a minimum.
