kopia can do deduplicated, compressed and encrypted backup. It see content as chunks of data instead of as regular files so it can create pretty compact but incremental backup. You can utilize it in server mode then you can push to kopia's repository multiple (local and remote) MinIO storages and benefit from deduplication. Since kopia runs pretty quickly, we usually stops MinIO server while taking kopia snapshot and restore it after. kopia supports actions, so it can be automated via its policies. You can even run kopia server in append only mode to be sure ransomware can't encrypt the whole backup or delete it. Since kopia supports multiple backends, you can have local as well remote backup repositories (s2, b2, azure, gcp...)
