while im building site in django do i need to learn javascript?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on reddit.com/r/learnpython

Our great sponsors
  • Appwrite - The Open Source Firebase alternative introduces iOS support
  • SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages.
  • Scout APM - Less time debugging, more time building
  • htmx

</> htmx - high power tools for HTML

But if you want to make your site feel a bit more "app-like" with animated popups, interactive tabs, infinite scrolling, etc then you will probably need to code a bit of javascript to manipulate the HTML tags without reloading the page. There are other alternatives like HTMX that removed the need for javascript, but it has their own trade-offs.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
