  • roguelike

A stealth roguelike in development phase.

  • In the case I don't end up adding a screenshot/video at all (which is pretty likely... tomorrow is going to be pretty busy I think) you could try out a binary from the latest release. It's >inux only unfortunately (I didn't know termbox was Windows-incompatible until recently...) so you'll have to use WSL2 or an emulator to run it on Windows for now. (I really need to get around to adding a Replit so folks can try it out online.)

  • In order to make these abilities, I had to make a function to create a line perpendicular to a vector on a grid. This is harder than I thought, could involve something like matrix rotation and/or asymptotes. Instead I just made it some jank. I couldn't find any useful examples online, so here it is if anyone is curious.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

A dungeon a day keeps the Balrog away

  • Hey all! I haven't written an update here for a few weeks but I've been tinkering away on Rogule improving it bit by bit. Here's a recent gif (of the new event modal feature).

  • It's in a bit of a cryostasis. I released the final project, and I started making changes backwards and cutting features as per plan, but roundabout part 2 or 3 I was not happy with the leap required, and I'm overall I was unhappy about some abstractions (or the lack of some others). So to prevent the extra stress and time pressure from seeping into the main game dev, I paused it. It's still online and available, but text is written only for the last project, and the code works as expected from project 4 (or 3?) onwards.
