Thanks for this, my only hesitation with rooting the tab s7 is that it will break a physical fuse in the tablet causing a warning to constantly display during boot which may or may not be a problem should I choose to sell it in the future... So I might be more motivated instead to see how to get otg mode using bluetooth as per https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/issues/3110 that was linked in this thread previously.
