Ghidra is a very powerful software tool, a multi-platform disassembler (and in the most recent versions also a debugger), developed by the NSA. Basically it allows someone to reverse-engineer someone else's software, and see what it's actually doing under the hood - as long as they master the assembly language of the platform running the code, and thoroughly understand the operating system used, otherwise it's of absolutely no use. Its existence was first revealed via WikiLeaks in 2017, but that the NSA had a tool like that was completely unsurprising: disassemblers have been around, and available as commercial products, since the dawn of computing. The NSA declassified it and turned it into a public open-source project in 2019. It's now widely used by people fighting malware.
