Hello World. I’m new here.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/esp32

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • ReflowMaster

Reflow Master is an open source Toaster Oven reflow controller that includes both hardware and software.

If you want a really deluxe board, Unexpected Maker builds and sells some really nice ones often with optimized very stable power, USB C, LiPo battery support, built-in RGB LEDs, or very small footprints. You can usually buy direct or via Adafruit.

  • MicroPython

MicroPython - a lean and efficient Python implementation for microcontrollers and constrained systems

CircuitPython is a fork of MicroPython, which runs on even more microcontrollers.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • circuitpython

CircuitPython - a Python implementation for teaching coding with microcontrollers

If you have any background with Python you might enjoy checking out CircuitPython, which runs on microcontrollers that have native USB support (like the ESP32-S2 and ESP-S3). CircuitPython is largely an Adafruit initiative, and Adafruit puts a lot of resources into supporting libraries on it as well as writing tutorials for CircuitPython and Arduino for their boards. Even if you use a different company's board, most of Adafruit's tutorials will still hold, you may just need to figure out which pins are which on the board you're using.
